Q) How much does it cost to create an app?

A) The big question! It’s best to get in touch and let us know exactly what you’re looking for but so you know what to expect, we can tell you that a bespoke app will cost from around £2500.

Q) Will you build my app for a future share of its profits?

A) We’re afraid not! We get quite a few of these enquiries and as good as your idea might be and perhaps yes, it will make millions, nothing is guaranteed in this world. We are app developers, not venture capitalists : )

Q) Do you take royalties?

A) Nope – we would rather focus on doing what we do best which is making apps.  Providing good apps that are well received by our clients and the users generate good feedback for you and ultimately us!

Q) What kind of apps do you build?

A) Pretty much any kind of app you need built. The only thing we don’t do is games, because we’re not games programmers or 3D artists.

Q) How do I know if I tell you my next big idea, that you won’t run off with it?

A) We are more than happy to sign an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement).

Q) Can I see your previous work? Is it any good?

A) Head over to the Portfolio page for some examples, of course it’s good, we take pride in what we do!

Q) Will you work anonymously and produce a white label product for us?

A) Yes! We are more than happy to work in the background and remain anonymous. We can tweak our standard T&Cs to suit your particular needs.

Q) Can you design our app?

A) We can assist with suggestions on UI and the design based on our experience and knowledge but are not graphic designers. We specialise in writing good quality and reliable code, on time and on budget.

Q) Do you make Android apps?

A) Android apps require a completely different set of skills & code. We specialise only in the Apple platform, because that’s what we like, and that’s what we’re good at. However, if you need an Android app too then we can refer you to our Android development partner who likes Android as much as we like Apple!

Q) How long does it take to build an app?

A) We like you to try out the app as we build it so normally a few weeks to a month to complete, but it really does depend on how many features you have and the way that you want the content (if applicable) to be held in the app.  You will receive several versions to try out and play with along the way.

Q) Do Apple have to approve the app? How long does that take?

A) Yes, Apple have to ensure what we build meets their requirements in that it looks good and does exactly what it says on the tin. Latest stats suggest that Apple approve 95% of apps within 7 days of submission. They do apparently get 15,000 apps a week to review, so that seems pretty good really!

Q) What are Apple’s requirements?

A) The best thing to do is look at the recently published app review guidelines published by Apple.  If there is something that they don’t approve because of the design elements of the app then we’ll act upon their feedback and re-submit the app again for further review. It’s a bit annoying (for us and you) so we don’t charge a penny to do this!

Q) How do I get on the iTunes Store?

A) Appfidelity can submit your app on your behalf and charge an ongoing fee of £15 a month for this service. Included in this hosting fee is a weekly report of your downloads by country, ongoing support for your app and free bug fixing for the life of the subscription. Alternatively you can sign up to Apple’s iOS Developer Program and set up your own account on iTunes.

Q) Bugs? What bugs?

A) We know, but we’re only human. The important thing is, if it did happen, it would be fixed as quickly as possible.

Q) How do I know you’ll produce my app well?

A) We want to make good apps and show off what we can do!  We also would hope that you’ll enjoy working with us and be really pleased with your app… you may even recommend us to other people and potentially use us again in the future.  Chances are you’re more likely to recommend us when we have produced you’re app and done a great job.

Q) Can I integrate Twitter, Facebook and a link to my website into the app?

A) Yep.  In fact for a lot of apps we would highly recommend it.
